IPL 2020also known as VIVO IPL 2020 is the 13th sequelin the lineage of the Indian Premier League series.IPL has been tremendously successful since its launch back by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)in 2008 making its way to people’s heart just like the world cup. Auctions are conducted so that the team owners can select their favorite players in every season.The auction for the 2020 tournament was conducted on 19th December 2019 in Kolkata, West Bengal.A whopping amount of 140.3 crores was spent on a total of62 players which includes 29 overseas and 33 Indian players who were sold in this season. Australian fast bowler Pat Cummings stole the show by breaking the records of being the most expensive overseas player in the history of IPL.He was the most expensive player sold this year and was purchased by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs. 15.5 crores. The second most expensive player was none other than Australian all rounder Glenn Maxwell who was sold for Rs. 10.75 crores to Kings XI Punjab. Meanwhile the most expensive Indian playerwho is known for his efficient bowling skills during the IPL season is Piyush Chawla purchased by Chennai Super Kings for Rs. 6.75 crore.

The official sponsor of the game this year is VIVO and in the previous seasons, DLF and Pepsi have also been the sponsors of the IPL.

The player with the most number of runs under his cap in IPL is the one who comes to our mind right away and is well renowned for his batting worldwide, he is none other than the Indian Captain Virat kohli. The player who took maximum number of wickets so far in the IPL series is the Sri Lankan Pace bowler Lasith Malinga who is fearsome when it comes to Yorkers.
